Cancellation Policy
We know plans change, and we've tried to keep our cancellation terms fair and simple. This policy covers standard cancellations, no-shows and early departures, and what happens if flooding or severe weather affects your booking.

More than 7 days before arrival: full refund
3–7 days before arrival: 50% refund
Less than 3 days before arrival: no refund
CABIN CANCELLATIONS
14 days or more before arrival: full refund
7–14 days before arrival: 50% refund
Less than 7 days before arrival: no refund
NO-SHOWS & EARLY DEPARTURE
No-shows and early departures are not eligible for a refund, except where the Flood & Severe Weather Cancellation Policy below applies.
FLOOD & SEVERE WEATHER CANCELLATIONS
We know Queensland weather can be unpredictable, and the Condamine River is part of what makes Cornerstone Country beautiful, but it also means we take flooding and severe weather seriously. The terms above are our standard cancellation terms — this section explains what happens instead if a natural disaster or severe weather event affects your stay or event.
Events this policy covers
This policy may apply if your booking is affected by:
Flooding or significant flood warnings
Bushfires or fire emergencies
Cyclones
Severe storms or extreme weather
Road closures that prevent reasonable access to the park
Evacuation orders or emergency directions issued by authorities
Damage to the park or surrounding infrastructure that makes it unsafe or unsuitable for guests
Other declared natural disasters or events beyond our reasonable control
If the park is closed or can't safely host you
If we need to close the park, evacuate guests, or can't safely provide your booked site or accommodation because of a natural disaster or severe weather, you can choose to:
Transfer your booking to another available date, subject to availability; or
Receive a refund for the affected portion of your booking.
If we can't provide what you booked, we won't keep payment for the part of your stay we couldn't deliver.
If the park stays open
If Cornerstone Country remains open and accessible but you decide not to travel because of weather or a disaster affecting another area, our standard cancellation terms above will generally apply.
Get in touch as early as possible if you think your travel may be affected — at our discretion, we may still be able to offer a date change or credit, subject to availability.
Road closures & travel disruption
If official road closures or emergency directions make it unsafe or impossible to reasonably reach us, we'll consider a transfer, credit or refund depending on the circumstances.
Please let us know the details of the road closure, emergency direction, or other circumstances affecting your travel.
A general concern about the weather, without an official closure or genuine safety issue, doesn't automatically qualify for a refund under this policy.
Early departure due to emergency
If you're already staying with us and an emergency requires the park to close or guests to leave, we'll provide reasonable assistance and information about the evacuation or departure process.
We'll consider refunds for unused nights where the park is required to close, or you're required to leave, because of the emergency.
Guest safety
The safety of our guests, staff and the wider community comes first. Decisions about closures, evacuations, access and bookings will be based on information from emergency services, local authorities, weather warnings, road conditions and the condition of the property.
We ask all guests to follow reasonable directions from park management and emergency authorities during an emergency.
Travel insurance
We strongly encourage guests to take out travel insurance that covers cancellation, travel disruption, natural disasters and other unforeseen circumstances.
Cornerstone Country isn't responsible for additional costs you incur as a result of cancelled travel, road closures, alternative accommodation, transport or other flow-on expenses.
Refunds & booking changes
Any refund, credit or booking transfer under this policy will be assessed based on:
The nature and severity of the event
Whether the park is open and safely accessible
Advice or directions from relevant authorities
Whether the booking can reasonably be transferred to another date
The portion of the booking that has been affected
Any refund owing will be processed back to your original payment method unless we agree otherwise.
Our discretion
Natural disasters and severe weather events vary a lot in scale and impact. We'll assess individual circumstances and aim for a fair, reasonable outcome consistent with this policy and Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing in this policy limits or removes any rights you already have under Australian Consumer Law.
